Robyn and Roland Wall were twin brothers who were half German and half Dutch to simply put it. Their family was the definition of a mixed European race, never mixing their blood with any 'outsiders'. The family tradition was to establish a lineage powerfully mixed with dominant races, gathering the best of DNA's and creating the perfect human body. So in truth, Robyn and Roland were a bit of everything. Their skin tone was the type of white that could tan, something many drooled over. Blond haired and green-eyed, the twins woo'd many ladies in their time with their chiselled appearances.
They attracted many with their looks but their physique was what stole everyone's gaze even at long distances. The twins were over two meters tall, muscular titans. Robyn competed in professional mixed martial arts, a reigning champion for two years straight. Roland, on the other hand, was a professional boxer, who has been dominating for over five years, also a reigning champion. They were celebrities, the face of sports and fitness and the peak of human biology. At twenty-five years of age, the Wall brothers defined power.
But on this day they were hunted by everyone. On the day of the second 'Big Bang', they were in contact with God Particles, transforming them into Demigods twice their size with infinite strength. During the first few years, they had to rebuild their houses and abandon their vehicles due to their size. They also lost their contracts within the sports industries which hit their pride and glory. Many said the brothers got what they wished for but none of them were all too happy. Roland took it the worst. He hated what he had become. Robyn tried to live with it, trying to find things to occupy himself with but there was little to do for actual giants in the world.
Their family didn't reject them even when they believed the God Particles had corrupted what their lineage had tried so hard to accomplish. They didn't reject them but the brothers felt the spitefulness. Their lowest point was during a family dinner where more than fifty members of the family had gathered. Roland was already a depressed man, never being able to cope with his size, and on that, he reached the point of suicide.
After some distasteful comments by an uncle, Roland rushed into the family weapon locker and retrieved a shotgun.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Roland?" howled Robyn as he entered the room. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
"I can't live like this anymore!" Roland shouted back. His eyes were red with tears. "I'm a monster. We are monsters brother."
"We can get through this, we always have." Robyn grabbed the tip of the shotgun and tried to point it away. "Life has always tried to bring us down and we have always come out on top. We are champions, not monsters."
"Roland you shit, I can't be of use anymore! I can't compete! I can't use this power that I have been given. What's the point of it all if it can't be used?" Roland tried to point the shotgun at himself but Robyn wrestled it away. The brothers lost their balance and crashed into a wall, going right through it as if it were made of paper. Robyn landed on top of his twin and grabbed the shotgun with both his hands.
"You're not doing this man. I can't live without you."
"Then do it with me!"
"No!" The rest of the family had heard the ruckus and had rushed to the scene. The twins ignored them as they wrestled for control of the shotgun.
"You can't decide what I do with my life!" cried Roland. "I don't want to live! I have no purpose!"
"We'll find one together. We always do!" Robyn, being the one who was more talented in mixed fighting, dominated Roland on the floor but his brother had skills with punches. Roland headed his twin on the nose, grabbed him with one hand behind his neck and delivered several punches directly at his cheekbones. Robyn briefly passed out and started bleeding severely from his nose. Roland grabbed him by one arm and leg and tossed him into another wall before reaching for the shotgun. Robyn opened his eyes to see his twin aiming the gun to himself. "DON'T!"
This event occurred almost a hundred years ago. Roland was still alive but wore a mask to hide his disfigured face. The shotgun blast had torn into his skin from such a close vicinity. He wasn't hurt during the incident but suffered headaches for days. The twins never knew how strong they were back then but now they were a century older, wiser, and grown in power.
Today they are hunted but they are also the hunters. The twin brothers have a purpose, joining an army as special as they are. They had found their rightful place in the world. They weren't celebrities anymore. They were heroes to their own kind, fighting for Arcadeus's war.
However, they don't use their powers to only fight. The twins are also ambassadors of mental health, creating groups for Demigods with depression and showing them the path to acceptance. The humans always feared the Demigods for their powers but they always overlooked one simple thing... Demigods were once human.
