Her dark blonde hair covered her face as she lay sprawled on the ground. Keyla wasn't moving. Captain Wauter was up and beginning to form walls of earth to shield them from projectiles. The enemy horde of Risen Demigods were charging at them again. He looked at his team, only Maha stared back.

"Get up and fight! Remember your training!" he roared commandingly. "You trained to fend off and fight a large group of Demigods." He pointed his hand towards the ground and clenched. The earth suddenly turned into a ball. With all his might, the Captain catapulted the ball towards the enemy. One of the soldiers aided him, setting up his ball of earth aflame. "Everyone take your places!"

The skies were turning green and the distance blocked by fog. Tentacles of green energy were still attacking the town from the skies. A soldier took a hit in the shoulder a few meters away from Maha. With a fist in front of her, creating a personal forcefield, she hurried to aid them. A bolt of lightning came their way but Maha deflected it with her shield and then focused on healing her teammate.

"You ok?" she asked.

"I'm good!" the soldier replied back, a middle-aged-looking man with short brown hair. There was a large piece of rock, the size of a watermelon, beside him and he quickly grabbed it with one hand. "Move aside!" He threw the rock as powerful as he could. Maha watched it go and hit an incoming Risen in the head which instantly exploded. The rest of the body tumbled down but that was only one Risen down. There was more coming.

Maha quickly looked back where Keyla had been but was no longer there. Confused, she started to look around for her. She searched the skies and saw someone else coming down fast. Maha shielded her eyes as the giant Klaus landed next to the team.

"Holy shit!" he said once he saw the carnage.

"How bad is it up ahead!?" Maha asked.

"It's fucking war up ahead!" She was going to ask one more thing but Klaus jumped into the air and straight into battle.

"Our tank is here!" Captain Wauter exclaimed. Maha was confused. "Klaus is going to get the attention of all the enemy Demigods out there! They'll pile up on him! Once they do, we all focus on that one single location and turn it into hell! Klaus will pull himself out of there when the time comes!"

Keyla was still nowhere to be but she could have been anywhere. They were thirty Demigods in a team. She could easily be anywhere among them. The shielders focused on pushing back the opposing force, making them go towards Klaus instead.

"UUUUUUURRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH" More tentacles of green power protruded from the clouds above them, one for each Risen Demigod in the field, and struck them like lightning. Everyone watched in amazement and horror as the tentacles extracted particles of white light from each Risen and escaped back into the clouds. Then like a vacuum, the clouds were dragged into where they originated from. The Risen were still up but were no longer Demigods as they helplessly clawed at Klaus without success. The team was petrified at what had happened.

Klaus gave one look at the now-fragile Risen and ended their suffering with one single sweeping punch. As Klaus picked off the rest of them with the help of two others, the Captain rounded up his troops.

"Ok, status update, I have no clue what the fuck is going on here. Anyone have any ideas?" he puzzled.

"God Particles..." one shouted among them.

"Yeah, their God Particles were extracted!" said another.

"So the Necromancer is harvesting... God Particles?" the Captain choked. Maha felt arms wrap around from behind her and the scent of her partner followed. Keyla kissed her cheeks and then her lips continued to hug her as Maha turned around to face her.

"Where were you?" Maha whispered as the rest of the team were still trying to understand what had happened.

"I was dragged away and someone healed me. Then I took air and kept blasting away with some guy's lightning powers." Keyla stated and then kept repeatedly kissing Maha. Klaus finished off the rest of the Risen and reported back to his older brother.

"They've turned into Humans," he informed. "and the comms seem to be back online."

"We need to report our suspicions. HQ needs to know what has happened here." Captain Wauter announced. "Tend your wounds, we set up camp here until we get word from Command. Klaus, I need you to scout again." His brother instantly took flight with a power jump.

The area was a mess and smelled of corpses. Maha aided her fellow healers and tended her team. The Captain was handed a phone that connected directly to Command. Keyla took flight to look at their surroundings. There were dead bodies everywhere in the distance towards Nemours, the city in which the Necromancer resided. This wasn't going to be a simple warm-up mission. The Necromancer was powering up with God Particles and there were more particles in the nearby town than they were. Keyla began to count the number of Particles there could have been on the way to Nemours.

"Well over a thousand... Could it really be?" she said to herself. "Can someone connect with so many God Particles... They'd be unstoppable." Her heart almost stopped functioning.

"We need backup!" Keyla shouted at the Captain. Everyone curiously looked at her. "That Necromancer just powered himself up with hundreds of God Particles and we're going in there to stop him or her with thirty Demigods? Are we crazy?"

"We're waiting for orders. Calm down. We don't expect to go there outnumbered like this." Captain Wauter assured her.

"Waiting for orders? We need backup! We need an army if we're going to stop the Necromancer!"

"Watch your tone, Keyla Verbeke!" he roared. "I am well aware, as is the rest of us, of the situation at hand but I was appointed Captain of this team, not you!"

"We need to..."

"DO NOT TEST ME! NOT HERE! NOT NOW!" Keyla turned around and walked away, shoving her comrades out of her way.

Klaus came jumping back but with a different look. His uniform was torn to pieces and his face was bruised and bloody. However, the giant could barely stand on his feet and shortly fell to his knees and hands, panting. Healers tended to his wounds but even with six people on him, it took a while before he could come back to his senses. His brother kneeled beside him and held his hand.

"Klaus, what happened?"

"I saw... I saw the Necromancer... We need help..."
