The Lightbringer

I see...

I hear...

I breathe... 

He calls out "then there was light"

My body, yet not formed

Is forced into this dark fight

I am pained and cannot feel

Yet I scream and shout as I take flight!

They called me Lucifer! The White Knight!

I told them all will be right!

All those who stood in my path and dreams were cut down like trees

sending those who dared into endless fright!

I won't let dark fall, for my blade shows what night won't

They beseech me, they beg me, how can one do this duty...

But I see... I hear... I breathe but is this all free?

Tell me now if you believe the hands you touch with, are instruments of make-believe, or the source of prison in this meat and flesh in me...

I die now! For I see! I see the lies inside me!

I am lied to! Beyond belief!

I no longer know what's real!

I hold this blade and hold your head and yet I feel your control over me!

I see the blood run out of every end and yet I am the one who is weak!

I cannot bear what you see in me but I believe I am stronger than thee!

I will wash away from all this red because this is not the purity!

No longer the White Knight! I fear flight! I lose my wings in this fight!

The white light! It is too bright! 

I shield with my hands but they have no might!

I feel! I feel! I feel everything wither!

I cower! From your might! I shall not ever stand right!

You showed me darkness and light to me, and yet I chose to make you believe, we cannot exist without you and me yet you shower with your hate on me!

But I cry now... I cry now... I hold onto your hand now.

Show me the path and I will walk, there is no end to this life I thought

I will make it great, they will chant my name and it will be like the old again

But you take your hand... away from me...

and leave me alone in this darkness you see

Allowing me to be consumed by you and everything I thought of too,
